Donald Trump in 2012?
Apparently, there are some feelers being placed, via some interesting calls to New Hampshire households, to approximate voter feelings for The Donald, according to Playbook link of Mark Halperin. Excerpt:
"New Hampshire residents received a telephone poll in September testing multiple 2012 Republican candidates and match-ups that included some 30 questions on real estate magnate Donald Trump. Among other queries, the calls reportedly asked if voters had heard that Trump donated to Democrats in the past and if they thought his high-profile appearances on TV would help or hurt him in a political race." http://bit.ly/9LxS2b
Wasn't he "thinking" of running for President in 1992, and even made a high-visibility trip to New Hampshire?
If he were to run, his "deal-making" would be fodder for discussion, and while I think the very rich who have found ways to exploit people with flipping real estate or having businesses and then underpaying us for our labor to make them richer might fall in love with him, he'd also have to face "the rest of us."
Just because someone makes big bucks doesn't make them a "successful businessperson." There's a lot more to our society than that. Or should be.
