If he didn't have a heavy political price to pay Ron Paul would probably run faster from the Tea party than Sarah Palin from a press conference. While his ideas my be impractical, Ron Paul at least has ideas and some of them pretty dam good. Sarah Palin, Bachmann and the remainder of the Tea Party movement don't have idea, they have ideals. The former you implement the latter you aspire to.
