News flash in the pan: A White House aide isn't ruling out a pardon for Scooter Libby, mere hours after President George W. Bush commuted his 30-month sentence in the CIA leak case. The candidate Clintons, and other Democrats running for president, quickly criticized the move, prompting a back-at-ya from the White House regarding President Clinton's 140 pardons in his final days in office. The Democrats protest too much, to be sure. It's just more grist for the mill, more red meat for their Blue State stomping. It's already making the sound bites in the Granite State, this a sure-fire summer of love.
