Hmmm, $95,000 to study pollen from the Viking era of Iceland? Stimulating, yes, but stimulus?
The Boston Globe reports today that the Tax State recently filed some interesting uses for its millions and millions in federal economic stimulus. Sticking out of the list from the usual and unusual construction projects, there's $123,000 to outfit a party cruise boat to ward of terror pirates and a plan to fix up a lighthouse. Suddenly, Bob Kraft's use of $9 million in federal stimulus for a foot bridge, thanks to his pals on Beacon Hill, almost doesn't look bad. Almost.
first folks were complaining the money was being spent too slowly, now it's being spent too fast. The pollen study will provide insight into global warming. Is it the highest and best use of tax money? Why not turn the same microscope on the department of defense which flushes half a trillion down the toilet every year.

That's a dodge, Wacker. Next you'll be supporting billionaire Bob Kraft's use of $9 million for a foot bridge at his uber stadium/mall.
